about Anngelle

I find it silly to write a bio about myself. If there is something you'd like to know, please ask.

I grew up in New England - Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I make a lot of jokes about it. Things I like:
rock music, my dogs, sarcasm, using words like terrific and delightful. Things I like to make fun of: hipsters, douchebags, hipster douchebags, local old school 3rd grade sayings like gaylord and queerbait.

I do radio in Boston. I began my commercial radio career at WFNX. I started there as a morning show intern and worked my way to hosting the morning show. Full circle, I guess. I have also worked for WBUR, WBCN and WZLX. I did college shows at WMWM at Salem State and WMFO at Tufts University.

I currently work for WZLX and also host a specialty music program called Boston Emissions that supports independent Boston- and New England-based bands and artists. I produce a radio talk show with Woody Giessmann (also from the Boston band the Del Fuegos) and Abby Dean on WTKK called Right Turn Radio. It's pretty interesting subject matter and I learn something new every show.

I've been around the innerwebs in various forms. Here's one that will soon be changing - http://www.anngellewood.com/...post is from fall 2008.

I'll update all this soon. In the meantime, Anngelle (at) WZLX (dot) com
